Interactive Research and Development (IRD) is a global healthcare delivery and research organization based in Dubai that works in over 15 countries, including Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan and South Africa.

The IRD team leverages process and technology innovations to address gaps in global healthcare delivery, including health market innovations based on social business models; introduction of new diagnostics, drugs and vaccines; performance-based incentives for health workers; and conditional cash transfers for patients to access services and enable adherence. IRD is a global leader in developing and using open source information technology platforms that enable close monitoring of patient care and program quality, and facilitate integration of health care systems at municipal, district, province and national levels.

IRD is the Lead Technical partner for the Challenge TB (CTB) project in Bangladesh. This is a USAID supported five years program, which supports the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) and partners in providing a comprehensive package of tuberculosis (TB) interventions. The overarching strategic objectives of CTB globally are to support countries in improving access to quality patient centered care for TB, TB/HIV, and Multi Drug Resistant-TB services; to prevent transmission and disease progression; and to strengthen TB platforms.

1. Senior PMDT Adviser (1 position):

The senior PMDT advisor is a member of the Challenge TB central technical team and is responsible in supporting the national TB program in strengthening the PMDT program at the country level to improve the diagnosis and management of MDR, Pre-XDR/XDR-TB. The senior PMDT advisor will also advise on the introduction and implementation of the new drug treatment, shorter MDR regimen and other new developments to improve the MDR, Pre-XDR/XDR-TB patients’ treatment outcome. The position holder also provides support to NTP and CTB Bangladesh in establishing Center(s) of Excellence for PMDT through ensuring access to new second line anti-TB drugs. she/he assist the NTP in improving the quality of PMDT programs throughout the country and provides support to NTP and CTB Bangladesh in building national and regional capacity in management of DR-TB including pre-XDR/XDR-TB. 2. Child TB Adviser (1 position):

Serve as a Child TB advisor for the Challenge TB (CTB) Bangladesh Project funded by USAID. The position will support and advance child TB program quality, provide expert advice/support, and transfer skills through technical assistance and the development of local capacity. Ideally with 5-7 years of experience working in TB sector.   S/he will oversee implementing the planned child TB activities of the CTB project in collaboration other advisors and the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) and partners.  S/he will represent Challenge TB in Child TB in national and sub national technical meetings and must build good rapport to partners and stakeholders. S/he will be expected to maintain IRD professional and procurement integrity standards in all activities. The Child TB advisor report to the Technical Director & Country Director IRD Bangladesh.

3. PPM Adviser (1 position):

Serve as advisor on PPM for the Challenge TB (CTB) Bangladesh Project funded by USAID.  The advisor is an expert in the field of public-private mix and social business sectors with a wide variety of skill set in different segments of commercial value chain including Business Development, Project Management, Stakeholder Management, ideally with 5 years of experience working in private sector.   S/he will oversee implementing the planned PPM activities of the CTB project in collaboration other PPM advisor and the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) and partners.  S/he will represent Challenge TB in PPM in national and sub national technical meetings and must build good rapport to partners and stakeholders. S/he will be expected to maintain IRD professional and procurement integrity standards in all activities. The PPM adviser report to the Technical Director & Country Director IRD Bangladesh.

4. Quality of Care Adviser (1 position):

The Quality of care Advisor works with the challenge TB (CTB) Bangladesh project Team and all TB stake holders to plan, organize, direct, and to lead quality management and quality improvement processes for TB services in Bangladesh. Provides consultation and direction to ensure programs and services are implemented at the highest standards and patients receive the highest level of care. Engaging key staff that affect how the services are currently provided and/or can influence how the services should be provided in the future; the advisor will look at current data to identify gaps; and implement to develop an improved model that includes measuring, testing change, re-measuring, and applying change.
