Uttoron - Skills for better life, is a skills development project, funded by Chevron under Bangladesh Partnership Initiative (BPI) and implemented by Swisscontact. Uttoron project aims to increase the employability of 2,000 community youths of Sylhet and Dhaka region. In addition to that, Uttoron aims to facilitate the establishment of a permanent training centre in Sylhet and introduce internationally certified advanced welding training first time in Bangladesh through upgrading a government institute. Uttoron project in partnership with Sylhet City Corporation (SCC) is working to establish a permanent training institute in Sylhet. An existing government infrastructure has been selected for this purpose.

Uttoron Project is inviting eligible firms to submit Expression of Interest (EoI) to renovate two floors of the Bholananda Night School located within Sylhet City Corporation, Sylhet. The infrastructure will be renovated

as per need of the project demand to convert it into a modern training institute. Organizations should submit all the information using the following template.

Submission guideline

Interested firms are requested to submit their application in hard copy. All documents must be sent in one envelope. The envelope must be addressed to:

The envelope must be marked with “Expression of Interest for infrastructure renovation work” by 24 June 2021, 05:00 PM. No late submission will be accepted. Exceeding maximum word limits is not acceptable.  Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for briefing and presentation. EoI will be strictly scored based on the criteria and directions provide in the attached form.  

Swisscontact has no obligation to award the contract to any applicant if the proposals submitted do not match the quality and/or the budget requirements of Swisscontact. Swisscontact has no obligation to provide any further information to bidders or any other third party about the evaluation process and its results.
