Title : Legal Consultancy

This Expression of Interest solicitation is open to all eligible consultants, in accordance with SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL procedures.

For 35 years, the humanitarian aid organization Solidarités INTERNATIONAL has been committed to providing aid in the event of conflict and natural disasters. Our mission is to provide aid as quickly and as efficiently as possible to endangered populations by meeting their vital needs: drinking water, food and shelter.

After providing emergency aid, our humanitarian teams accompany the most vulnerable families and communities until they recover their livelihoods and self-sufficiency, to enable them to deal with the challenges of an uncertain future with dignity.

Solidarités INTERNATIONAL is particularly committed to fighting water-related diseases, the primary cause of death in the world today. Drawing on their expertise, our teams develop and carry out aid programs in the fields of water, sanitation and hygiene, as well as in the essential domains of food security and reconstruction.

WITHIN BANGLADESH

Solidarités INTERNATIONAL (SI) is present in Bangladesh since 2007. The frequency and impact of natural disasters, as well as the exposure of the country to climate change justifies our involvement.  Solidarités INTERNATIONAL provides help in the wake of natural disasters (cyclones, storms, floods, landslides) in the southwest, (Satkhira district).
Solidarités INTERNATIONAL is also involved in the southeast of Bangladesh, where the presence of a significant refugee population from Myanmar is a contributing factor to community tensions in an area with comparatively high poverty compared to the rest of the country. Access to water there is also very limited due to the region’s geophysical characteristics

A short list of consultants will be finalized after the call for expressions of interest and the consultation will follow the rules and procedures of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL for the use of Consultants. It is noteworthy that the interest shown by a Consultant does not imply any obligation on the part of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL for inclusion in the short list.
