Hiring an individual/agency for Conducting Formative Research on Video(A/V) blocks

Sesame Workshop is a nonprofit organization on a mission that keeps us focused, passionate, and moving forward to help kids grow smarter, stronger, and kinder, and do everything possible to meet their needs in more than 150 countries. Sesame Workshop has been leading a new early childhood development initiative Play to Learn funded by the LEGO Foundation to support millions of children affected by the Rohingya refugee crises. Together with BRAC and IRC, and supported by our research partner NYU, the program will reach displaced and host community children and their caregivers in Bangladesh through direct services and mass media programming. Further information can be found at www.sesameworkshop.org/  and  www.Sisimpur.org.bd/

A foundational element of the Play to Learn program is the creation of short, 2-5 minutes video blocks that can be used in humanitarian and development settings across the globe. Among many other educational materials of Play to Learn project, the Video Blocks are a of number of short videos that contain specific messages for children aged from 4-6 years. The animatic videos of these video Blocks are going to be the content of this Formative research.

The broad objective of this formative research is to assess appeal and comprehension of the four AV contents tested among the targeted children.

These four AVs are developed in 4 areas- Environment, Child Protection and Health & Safety for the children aged 4 to 6 yrs. The AVs will be tested in Cox’s Bazaar and the research should be completed within one month from the signing of the contract, expected start date is 21 December 2020.
