Youth Equality Award 2026
Call for Proposal
Plan International Bangladesh invites youth-led organisations across Bangladesh to submit project proposals under the Youth Equality Award 2026. The Award supports youth-driven, community-based initiatives that promote gender equality, girls’ rights, and social inclusion, with a strong emphasis on addressing harmful gender norms and preventing child marriage.
Purpose of the Award
The Youth Equality Award provides flexible funding combined with capacity strengthening and technical accompaniment to enable youth-led organisations to design, pilot, and implement gender-transformative initiatives at the community level.
Who Can Apply
- Youth-led organisations where young people aged 15–35 hold the majority of decision-making roles
- Youth-, young women-, or marginalised-group-led organisations (including Dalit, LGBTQI+, and youth with disabilities) are strongly encouraged
- Minimum 1 year of experience in community development or relevant thematic areas
- Experience implementing at least one community-level initiative
- A defined governing or coordination structure
- Organisational bank account preferred (alternative arrangements may be accepted with authorisation)
- Social media or community presence preferred
- Both registered and unregistered youth-led organisations are eligible.
Thematic Areas
Applicants must select one primary theme:
- Gender equality and girls’ rights, including prevention of child marriage
- Girls’ and young women’s leadership and meaningful participation
- Positive masculinities and engagement of boys and men
- Youth leadership in climate action and resilience
- Youth leadership in humanitarian action and disaster preparedness
- Safe, inclusive civic and digital spaces for youth
Priority Issues (across all themes)
Proposals should address one or more of the following, as relevant to context:
- Child marriage prevention and girls’ rights
- Girls’ and youth participation in civic and public life
- Challenging harmful gender norms, online and offline
- Inclusion of marginalised and excluded youth
- Safe and inclusive digital engagement for youth
- Youth-led climate action and local resilience
- Girls’ and young women’s rights in emergencies
Grant Size & Duration
- Grant amount: Up to BDT 50,000 per organisation
- Number of awards: Up to 5 organisations
- Implementation period: 3 months
What Selected Organisations Will Receive
- Seed funding for implementation
- Capacity-building and implementation training
- Technical accompaniment and mentoring
- Recognition at Plan International Bangladesh’s Youth Conclave 2026
- Opportunity to collaborate with Department of Youth Development (DYD)

How to Apply
Interested youth-led organisations are invited to submit electronically to the email address: planbd.purchase@plan-international.org with an email title “Proposals for Youth Equality Award” as subject line. Prepare the proposal using the provided template as ANNEX _A.
Proposal submitted to any other email account or address except this will be treated as disqualified.
Submissions after the deadline on 14 February, 2026 will be treated as disqualified.
