Ipas works throughout the country- in rural, urban and humanitarian settings.
Ipas Bangladesh is seeking applications from hardworking, sincere, and cheerful individuals for the following position.
Position: Training Associate I, Comprehensive MR Care (CMRC), Ipas Bangladesh (1 position)-based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Project Brief:
Ipas Bangladesh through its sustained technical assistance and advocacy, has supported government in development and endorsement of the National Strategy for Comprehensive Menstrual Regulation Care (CMRC) Scale-Up Strategy (2025). This strategy ensures that women and adolescents have access to and can utilize rights-based, high quality, non-judgmental CMRC services that respect informed choice, empower individuals, uphold human rights, and leave no one behind. Ipas also provided technical support in preparation of a Costed Action Plan for resource allocation, facility readiness, capacity building, commodity procurement, HMIS strengthening, and SBCC interventions and development of national CMRC training manuals and job aids aligned with WHO standards.
Now, Ipas Bangladesh with the support of UK government will provide technical assistance to MOHFW to enhance the institutional and service delivery capacity of DGHS and DGFP to effectively scale up Comprehensive Menstrual Regulation Care (CMRC), thereby contributing to the achievement of SDG 3.1, SDG 3.7, and SDG 5.6.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Training Associate-I is responsible for assisting in the smooth implementation of training program and quality assurance activities and ensure adherence to standard.
- S/he will provide support to conduct a rapid facility Assessment to establish four (04) training hubs for CMRC
- Support the Technical Team in organizing training programs and administrative support during the training and quality assurance initiatives.
- Assist the Technical Team to review and develop training materials, tools, and job-aids for CMRC training for the service providers at different DGHS and DGFP health facilities.
- Ensure necessary logistics, financial issues, materials for the training program at pre, during and post-training period.
- Assist the Ipas CMRC team to develop national master trainers and trainers’ pool.
- Keep track of all financial issues related to the training event as per the project and organizational policy.
- Coordinate venue arrangements, training schedules, participant invitations, travel, accommodation, and allowances. Maintain a training calendar and coordinate with trainers, facilitators, and health facilities.
- Provide inputs in the necessary books of accounts and other registers and prepare reports on daily/monthly/quarterly/semi-annually/annually as per project requirement.
- Maintain good communication and liaison with related Govt. Officials and trainers and other administrative persons of the Government/non-government Training Centers.
- Prepare different payment documents, vendor payments, transport bills, and other logistics-related financial documents.
- Support budget monitoring for training, other events, and commodity distribution, and ensure all transactions comply with organizational and donor requirements. Support internal and external audits with relevant documents.
- Assist in collecting service data collection, compilation, updating DHIS2, preparing training and program progress reports and expenditure reports.
- Maintain databases for trained providers, training events, and commodity distribution and support to develop a pool of Master Trainers.
- Maintain an updated asset/inventory list of training equipment and supplies.
- Any other duties assigned by the management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred) from any recognized university of Bangladesh in Social Science, health or any relevant discipline
- 3+ years of relevant experience with NGO in education, public health or development projects.
- Have experience with training management in SRHR specially on MR, PAC and Family Planning
- Skilled in training conduction and monitoring will add value.
- Good experience in coordination with different stakeholders
- Competency in training budgeting and budget management.
- Understanding and experiences about public health systems of Bangladesh is essential.
- Good management, communication and reporting skills are required.
- Computer skills: proficiency in MS Office particularly in excel and in Bangla typing.
