INVITATION FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI)
Since 1972, in Bangladesh, Concern Worldwide has aimed to contribute to bringing sustainable, positive changes in the lives of people living in extreme poverty in Bangladesh. We achieve this through working on five particular pillars – ensuring sustained change from our programmes (predominantly in the health, nutrition and livelihoods sectors); climate change; humanitarian action; working through partnership; and equality, diversity and inclusion. All our work is aligned with the Government priorities outlined in the 8th Five Year Plan of the Government and with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
Our Partnership Approach
Concern cannot achieve its mission working in isolation. Working with partners is one of the main Strategic Priorities for Concern Worldwide. We have a systematic approach to our partnerships focusing on strengthening relationships and promoting feedback and mutual learning. Concern’s work is guided by our values of listening; responding; being courageous and committed; innovating to find solutions; and staying accountable and transparent. These values apply to our approach to partnerships, which are also guided by our partnership principles of:
- Compatibility in vision, goals, and values;
- Mutual respect and negotiation to develop common understanding and agreement;
- Interdependence, acknowledging that by sharing and valuing different strengths, capacities, and resources, greater achievements are possible and mutual learning can occur;
- Accountability to honour resources and agreements and resolve difficulties;
- Transparency, integrity and ownership in sharing information and expressing expectations, worries, and praise that supports partners’ ownership of both process and outcomes;
- Openness and responsiveness to new ideas and opportunities, as well as challenges and fears;
- Trust, built through patience, understanding and appropriate action.
