Job Context

This role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a centralized material database to improve sourcing transparency, efficiency, and governance across styles. The incumbent will work closely with internal teams, factories, and suppliers to standardize accessory specifications, identify opportunities for local sourcing and material nomination, and ensure adherence to approved supplier allocations. The role will support strategic sourcing initiatives by analyzing material usage, consolidating volumes, and strengthening compliance with the company’s sourcing framework.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, validate, and standardize accessory and material information for all styles.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized material database capturing specifications, consumption, sourcing origin, and supplier allocation.
  • Continuously update and manage the material matrix to ensure data accuracy, transparency, and accessibility.
  • Analyze style-wise material data to identify opportunities for material nomination and sourcing optimization.
  • Identify materials that can be sourced locally based on technical feasibility and supplier capability.
  • Categorize accessories and materials based on sourcing strategy (local vs. import).
  • Support volume consolidation initiatives by identifying common materials across multiple styles.
  • Ensure materials are sourced from company-approved or nominated suppliers in line with sourcing guidelines.
  • Coordinate with factories to monitor compliance with approved supplier allocations and sourcing strategies.
  • Track material ordering patterns and highlight deviations from agreed sourcing plans.
  • Work closely with nominated suppliers to understand their capabilities, capacity, and material availability.
  • Support the implementation of the material nomination project by providing structured data, process controls, and improvement recommendations.

Experience and Educational Requirements

  • Graduate in supply chain management, Business Administration, Textile Engineering, or related field from a well reputed institute.
  • Ideal candidate should have at least 7 - 8 years’ experience in Merchandising, accessories procurement, material management, or PPC in a reputed buying office or factory.
  • Strong knowledge of accessories materials and local supplier market.
  • Experience working with material ordering matrix and BOM control.
  • Good understanding of production planning and supply chain flow.
