Quality Controller – Footwear (Sports Shoes)

We are currently hiring for the position of Quality Controller – Footwear (Sports Shoes) at our HQ, in the heart of Dhaka. Join our family and build an inspired career you’ll be proud of.

Job Context
The Quality Controller will be stationed at ZXY partner factory and will be accountable for monitoring operations to ensure that they meet production standards throughout the manufacturing process and examine products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow the quality SOP in each step of the process
  • Ensure quality of products manufactured from protos, fit & PP sample stage to final inspection and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Co-ordinate with QAM and QA regarding quality, fit and measurements and ensure smooth flow of production
  • Check and reconfirm accuracy of samples prior to dispatch to office / customer tech to ensure first time approval
  • Provide pattern grouping, adjustments and decisions to the production units
  • Manage cutting, embossing, embroidery, production, finishing issues and provide solutions and options to ease production
  • Obtain approval for cost effective and feasible methods and options
  • Liaise with IQA/Quality auditors for necessary for quality, measurement and technical related issues and ensure to delivery customer required levels
  • Conduct pre-finals and packaging audits to ensure 100% final inspections pass rate
  • Perform quality inspections on finished footwear, sourced assemblies, and raw materials or customer specified standards
  • Investigate non-conformances, development, and implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Work closely with production leadership to ensure quality standards are satisfied
  • Development of process controls and associated documentation to work within the ISO 9001:2015 system.
  • Document evidence and results of inspections for process improvement
  • Suggest improvements throughout the manufacturing and sourcing processes

Experience and Educational Requirements

  • Graduate in Footwear Engineering or relevant degree from a well reputed institute
  • At least 8 years relevant experience in Sportswear Shoes from a reputed organization
  • The applicants should have experience in the following areas: Handling Sports shoes of quality brands based in EU or US, Quality Control, basic on embossing, outer soles, inner soles, trims and lasting procedures
  • The applicants should have experience in the following categories mens, ladies, children and kids’ product safety and process controls
  • Should have good working experience with bigger shoes units

Technical Job Requirements

  • Should have thorough knowledge about sports shoes measurements and production
  • Must have skills in examining and establishing proper quality operations and procedures.
  • Having experience of working in China or with Chinese factories or Chinese technicians
  • Should have knowledge about effective communication for raw materials, booking and delivery
  • Should have proven expertise in production monitoring as per T&A

  • Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English
  • IT proficiency - advance level skill is a MUST in MS Office package (Specially, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently
  • Ability to multi task and remain organized, meet deadlines
