HR Business Partner - Quality

Job Context

The incumbent will be responsible for providing dedicated HR support to ensure higher retention, increased job satisfaction and engagement, achieve greater performance and reduce grievances across the Quality Control team. ZXY prides itself on its Quality Control team, this is a great opportunity to work as an HR Generalist team to facilitate the implementation of strategies in regard to Leadership, Culture, Reward, Learning and Talent across Quality Control team as well as enhance HR effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administration of employee records and data
  • Issuance of documentation including employee contracts, letters etc.
  • Supervising payroll, compensation & benefits and coordinating with Finance department to run correct payroll each month
  • Build effective relationships with employees and support all Employee Relations issues
  • Lead internal communications regarding workforce and workplace related matters
  • Keep day to day leave records and leave management of all employees
  • Ensure high standards of Health & Safety, above and beyond legal requirements
  • Coordinate with Finance and other departments to ensure superior workplace environment
  • Ensure good housekeeping, Factory security, Factory certification and transport
  • Ensuring adherence and compliance for all procedures including selection, recruitment, warning, dismissal, termination
  • Grievance management, conflict management, dispute resolution and awareness of industry compliance and related issues including audits for compliance and various standards
  • Maintaining relationships with Government bodies & agencies
  • Coordinate with Finance Manager & Board of Directors on legal issues
  • Expatriate requirements - handling visa and employment procedures for Expatriate staff
  • Offer collection from third party audit firm & confirm the payment and audit date for conducting planed or required (BSCI, SEDEX, WARP) audits.
  • Assist during all First & Third parties audit & follow up audit.
  • Update & make correction as per provided Corrective Action Plan (CAP) and on any compliance findings.
  • Update information on buyer's site communicates with buyers and provides required documents.
  • Maintain all legal or others documents & factory profile for factory.
  • Conduct compliance audit & submit report for all subcontract factories and monitor regularly.
  • Supervise appropriate recruitment following policies & procedures
  • Lead induction and settling of new recruits
  • Devise methods to support talent sourcing and attract and hire not only qualified candidates but the "best" within the industry
  • Develop initiatives for succession planning and talent retention
  • Drive capability and performance across all stakeholders through effective performance management and development
  • Study labor market and ensure company continues to lead industry standards & stay ahead of competition
  • Coordinate with each corporate department on employee evaluations & performance, including the establishing of criteria and regular calendar for the same
  • Review performance system and make recommendations for enhancing the same
  • Review compensation & benefits system and make recommendations for enhancing the same
  • Design, introduce, and build measures to continue to build staff morale and corporate culture
  • Work with other departmental heads to analyses needs and assist in supporting each team to grow, develop and build
  • Develop the understanding and capability of departmental managers / senior management on all HR policies including disciplinary, grievances, learning and development, and talent management.
  • Lead any change programs and work closely with group functions to ensure there is a consistent message and culture throughout the business
  • Work on employee welfare issues like Incentives, PF, Medical Benefits etc.
  • Prepare TNA and Training manual
  • Conduct Training & Development programs
  • Maintain Good Industrial Relation with overall knowledge on Industrial Relation

Experience and Educational Requirements

  • Graduate/BBA from any reputed university
  • Masters/Postgraduation in HR or Industrial Affairs will be given preference
  • At least 5 years’ experience as HRBP in Factory setting in the Apparel industry, having exposure in Benefits Administration, Performance Management, Communication Processes, Compensation and Wage Structure, Supports Diversity, Classifying Employees, Employment Law, Laws Against Workplace Harassment, Organization.

  • Labor law proficiencies - a good understanding of Bangladesh labor law & Bangladesh labor Rules and keeping up to date with local legislation

  • Presence and credibility to work with the executive team and senior colleagues across the ZXY
  • Highly organized and able to manage a broad portfolio of activities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • IT Literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
