Job Profile |
Under the guidance and direct supervision of the National Communications Manager and in matrix reporting to the Director Field Operations, the Field Communication Coordinator will assist in the execution of World Vision’s communications and information management in support to the Field Office and national office Communications team, as well as provide inputs to the design, management and implementation of World VIsion in Bangladesh communications and publication strategies geared to influence the development agenda, promote public and media outreach, and mobilize corporate communciations, Communciations for Development (C4D) Capacity Development support, and carrying out timely and effective communications/updates to humanitarian emergencies.
The incumbent will package stories creatively in written, photo or video format to suit our audience keeping in line with the organisational goals & objectives. He/she will also work with the Communications team to develop and produce creative concepts for different visual material that help people connect to our work.
The Field Communication Coordinator also works in close collaboration with Program staff , local leads, governmnet officials, national and local media and civil society ensuring successful World Vision communication strategy implementation. |

Key Objectives of the Position |
- Ensure quality communications resources produced align with global brand and power claims following efficient workflow and assuring wise stewardship.
- Strengthening the corporate communications at the Field Office level and ensure all staff speak one voice as ambassador of WV.
- Activate the right stakeholders through using right channels at the right time to ensure sustainable well being of children.
- Ensure communication plays a vitial roles duirng humanitarian emergency situation by mobilizing the public and submission of compelling contents.
- Lead communications, C4D and media relations activities at Field Office level in line with guidelines.

- Ensure each AP submits at least two success stories aligning with standard checklist.
- Produce high-value and compelling content specially for national and global audiences through various platforms online (website, online, blogs, vlogs, etc) and offline (traditional media)
- Oversee the consistent and timely reporting of progress on resources produced, published and/or delivered
- Host/support the Partnership resource gathering visits/ Media in coordination with field leaders and relevant staff, national Communications team, and requesting offices
- Support Advocacy team to produce appropriate content for awareness, call to action, and promotion of voice of children and communities to end physical violence against children at home, school and workplace among other advocacies
- Mobilize crisis response experts and stakeholders mitigate media or reputational risk, in coordination with RFD, Communications Director and/or Media Engagement officer.

Reinforce and protect WV branding and reputation by producing high value media content, mobilizing public for actions and proper crisis mitigation. |

- Increase WV visibity locally (upon specific need) and contribute to media outreach plan results in increased positive coverage of WV’s work in local and national media outlets.

- Develop and maintain professional contacts and relationships with key print, radio and TV media, and liase upon necessity .
- Ensure staff speak with one voice publicly as trusted ambassardor of WV.
- Ensure staff are oriented on WV branding and media relations policy & protocol.
- Support grant acquisition and management with compelling visibility plans.
- Ensure social media content and engagement plan results in increased outreach WVB’s programs and materials
- Promoted, uploaded and monitored contents as WVB Community Facebook group administrator
- Ensure all contents are well written and align with WV branding and social media guideline.
- Identify key media partners to positively position WV and to advocate for social issues related to WV’s focus areas.
- Pitch stories and issues for coverage and coordiante media visits to the field.
- Daily analysis of print and online media and manage media crises when occurs.
- Ensure each AP achieved the quarterly target of high value media coverage with appropriate contents.
- Provide assistance to AP and Cluster Field Office level spokesperson to media, if necessary. In addition, develop media kits and other promotional materials for media at divisional level.
- Ensure availability of WV branded documents and compliance at local level

- Lead to incorporating communications, C4D and media relations plan with the Monthly or Annual Plan at Cluster Field Office level
- Ensure implementation of the relevant planned activities at Cluster Field office level and guiding APs/ APCs in this process
- Provide guidance and take care of promoting WVB C4D policy and strategies at Cluster Field Office level including APs
