Experience :
Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar position in a reputable organization.
Purpose and role of this position: :
To promotehuman rights, justice and goodgovernance in the Community through education, awareness building and non-violent social action in the respective working area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction and leadership to Volunteers for implementation of the social development activities.
  • Form groups with the help of Volunteers & ensure proper selection of Ultra poor.
  • Organize and conduct training &workshops for group and community people.
  • Develop monthly work plan, setting quarterly, half-yearly and annual targets and implement the activities to achieve the target.
  • Monitor Preschool activities and Self-Help Group activities.
  • Motivate Self-Help Groups to initiate their own IGA using their own resources.
  • Promote WASH activities through the help of local leaders.
  • Elevate child rights through project activities.
  • Build awareness raising on women's rights & other social issues.
  • Help the community for easy access to different Govt. provided opportunities.
  • Ensure activities are properly documented.
  • Liaison with different stakeholders.
  • Organize and conduct training &workshops for group and community people.
  • Collect and document transformational stories.
  • Ensure that all core values are implemented effectively in all IDP program areas.
  • Regular group visit, attend in group meeting and monitor the activities of members after providing them training and other support.
  • Develop monthly work plan, setting quarterly, half-yearly and annual targets and implement the activities to achieve the target.
  • Prepare monthly numerical & narrative reports, half yearly reports and submit to the program manager in time. Preserve all reports, documents and information appropriately.
  • Develop and maintain a good network and coordination with Govt., other development NGOs and CBOs.
  • Any other official duties as may be assigned by the Country Director or Program & Operations Manager or Senior Management.

Other Requirements:

  • Min 5 years of working experience in national/International NGOs.
  • Willingness to work in the field at least 70 to 80%) and facing challenges.
  • Maximum age for this post is 45 years.
  • Able to drive a motorbike and interested in traveling in rural areas having a valid driving license.
  • Applicant who has working experience in holistic transformational development, climate change, disaster risk reduction, good governance, Education, Water Sanitation &Hygiene and women empowerment-related projects will get special priority.
  • Model and demonstrate effective Christian leadership and able to lead daily devotions and apply scripture discern God’s direction in planning and decision making (Lead Like Jesus practiced).
  • Demonstrated value-guided relational success with government, donors and various stakeholders
  • Understands, articulates and integrates World Concern’s transformational development approach into life and all WC program and operational activities; partners with Church and Christian organizations in Bangladesh and region.
  • Should have good interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of Bangla and English.
  • Sound knowledge on computer operating (MS Word, Excell, PowerPoint, Net surfing)
  • Any other official duties as may be assigned by the Country Director or Program & Operations Manager or Senior Management.

Compensation & Other Benefits

  • Salary: Consolidated Amount of Tk. 38,000/- (Thirty eight thousand including all Benefits)
  • Yearly increment, Provident fund, Gratuity, Festival Bonus, Life Insurance, Paternity/ Maternity leave, weekly 2 days weekend, Mobile bill, travel allowance and others allowances as per Organization Policy.
