WaterAid is looking for a deserving, dynamic, passionate and self-driven applicants for the role of ‘Young Professionalfor its country programme in Bangladesh under Communication Team, Climate Resilience Programme & Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) team.

‘Young Professional’ (YP) does not mean a ‘staff’ employed by WaterAid Bangladesh, this is a special programme through which WaterAid provides adequate support and opportunity through one year apprenticeship to the Bangladeshi young, fresh and talented aspirants having good academic background so that they can groom them up in the organizational environment, obtain relevant experience and can prepare themselves to contribute professionally to any organizational set-up.    

Mandatory requirements for application:

  • Undergraduate degree in respective field from a reputed and renowned University/College possessing with good academic results (CGPA 3.00 & above in the scale of 4.00 and 4.00 & above in the scale of 5.00; no second class or CGPA below 60% throughout academic career).  
  • Demonstrated excellence on extracurricular activities (to mention in the CV)
  • Bangladeshi national, age maximum 26 years as on 01 October 2023
  • Freshers preferred

We have vacancy of Young Professional in Communication, MERL & Climate Resilience Team-

Young Professional for Communication:

  • This incumbent will closely working with communication team in developing, and implementing effective communication strategies that enhance the organisation's reputation, promote its goals, and ensure clear and consistent messaging across various channels. Fresh graduate with bachelor’s or equivalent degree in journalism, media, communication, business administration, anthropology, urban and regional/rural planning, or relevant subject from any recognised university can apply.

Young Professional for Climate Resilience Programme:

  • The Climate Resilience Programme of WaterAid Bangladesh aims to improve access to water and sanitation services with promotion of safe hygiene practices among the targeted underprivileged people living in different climate vulnerable areas in BangladeshYoung Professional in Climate Resilience Programme will e accountable for upholding responsibilities to achieve the aims of the respective Programme, Departmental and Organizational components by supporting team. Fresh graduates with bachelor’s degree from Social/Environmental Sciences and Management or relevant subject or faculty. However, preference will be given to candidates with post graduate degrees.

Young Professional for MERL:

  • The YP in MERL team will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to WaterAid Bangladesh's MERL team. S/he will be responsible to support developing monitoring data collection tools, field visit for data collection, and preparation of monitoring report. This position will offer exciting challenges to undertake and gain valuable on-job trainings. Any fresh graduate having minimum undergraduate degree preferably in Statistics/Anthropology /Development Studies/ Environmental Science/ Public Health/Any other relevant discipline (CGPA 3.00 and above) from any recognized and reputed university of Bangladesh or abroad can apply.
Contract Tenure : 01 Years
Workstation : Dhaka, Bangladesh
Working Hours : Full time (05 days in a week, minimum 37.5 hours per week)
Salary & benefits : Monthly Payment: BDT 30,000 (consolidated),Cell phone allowance: BDT 1,000/- per month, Festival allowance: BDT 30,000/- for the completed year, given on a pro rata basis if engagement is less than a year
