Key Responsibilities: As one of the key members of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team, key responsibilities of this position include (not necessarily limited into) to
- Play an active role to ensure all internal monitoring and evaluation (M&E) related online systems and databases including data flow are functional and supportive to regular monitoring and reporting needs of the organisation
- Coordinate with other in-house departments, relevant unit at WaterAid UK on issues related to Project Centre (global online platform)
- Provide technical support to relevant colleagues on matters related to upgradation or modification in the system
- Coordinate and implement rolling out plan related to change in existing online databases, and reporting format; and follow up on the progress
- Promote use of online database management platforms to conduct small surveys and build Partner NGO capacity on the use of those platforms
- Prepare dashboards, graphs and other related visuals using Power BI business analytic reporting tools
- Analyze system data for various reporting purpose as required and requested
- Share responsibilities with other colleagues in the team to deliver M&E related capacity building and operational guidance to partner NGOs on data entry, output monitoring and reporting progress using online system
- Support in donor reporting, organizational six-monthly and annual reporting, annual updates/planning and quarterly progress review
- Undertake field visits, as required, for monitoring data quality, data validation and subsequent system related trouble shooting
- Any other relevant task as and when required by the organisation and as assigned by the line manager
Requisite qualifications and experience:
Education and experience: Masters/equivalent degree preferably in Computer Science/ Statistics/ MIS/ other relevant discipline. At least three (03) years of demonstrated experiences in relevant field with reputed organisations preferably with INGOs, donor agencies or international organisations is required. For excellent academic attainment or graduation/post-graduation from abroad, experience may be relaxed.
Knowledge: Knowledge on software driven database systems including application of statistical tools and computer software is essential. Understanding of the issues related to water, sanitation and hygiene is desirable.
Skills: be able to represent WaterAid at external forum with good presentation and communication skills. Apart from most of the common Microsoft programmes, expert functional skills are highly required on Microsoft Excel, Access, power-BI, mWater and SPSS. The person is also expected to be an excellent trainer.
Competencies: Must be a team player with mutual trust and understanding in a mixed team, self-motivated, problem solver, demonstrates gender and cultural awareness, effective communicator, capable to work under extreme pressure, ability to prioritize works and meet deadlines. Ready to undertake extensive field visits as required.
