WaterAid Bangladesh (WAB) is looking for a dynamic, committed and self-driven individual for the role of ‘Senior Logistics Officer’ for an anticipated project. The individual will work under the Administrative Department for implementing this project in the 18 selected districts. The individual will be the key person responsible for leading, managing and successful implementation of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

As a member of the Project Team, the Senior Logistic Officer will be responsible (but not necessarily limited into) for the following:

  • Facilitate the office administration, procurement, and logistic support for smooth project implementation
  • Ensure all physical facilitates for organising training/workshop/meeting at central and local level in close coordination with other project staff
  • Ensure safe storing of project documents. Publications, reports etc in coordination with project finance specialist
  • Deal with vendors & suppliers, maintain liaison with different agencies, stakeholders, and beneficiaries
  • Manage vendor management, fixed asset & inventory management, vehicle management, event management, people management, payment & cash management
  • Support and act as procurement committee member to ensure value for money. Ensure procurement of quality items for the project at most competitive price by preparing and updating list of competitive and high-quality suppliers

Requisite qualifications and experience:

  • Masters’ degree in management/accounting/supply chain or relevant technical field.
  • At least 06 years’ experience as an Administrative/Procurement officer with vast knowledge in the relevant field.
  • Competency in handling the required deliverables independently
  • Experience in field work and provide logistic support to organize events at local level
  • Experience in organizing training/workshop/meeting at central and field level
  • Proven track records of working in challenging conditions and under pressure  
  • Positive attitude for frequent traveling to the field is crucial.
  • Strong coordination, collaboration and communication skills.
  • Deliver output within tight deadlines in a very busy environment.
  • High level of proactiveness, self-motivated and positive attitude to work in team approach.
  • Demonstrated respect for gender, diversity, organisational cultural and promote safeguarding and uphold organisational values.
Reportable to : Project Team Leader (TL) with matrix reporting to Manager Admin & IT
Workstation  : Dhaka, Bangladesh
Contract tenure  : Fixed Term for 18 months
