Hiring consulting firm for the Midline study of WASH for Urban Poor (WASH4UP) project

WaterAid is a leading organisation that provides water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services to the poor and marginalised people and influence the government and development partners to be more responsive and pro-poor. Recognising the hydro-geological variation, WaterAid offers a range of context-specific water and sanitation technologies in Bangladesh. In relation to that, WaterAid Bangladesh launched a project since 2018 with the financial support from SIDA. The goal of the project is improved environmental health and resilience of WASH-deprived urban poor living in slums and low-income settlements. The project is implementing in four major cities in Bangladesh (Dhaka North, Dhaka South, Chattogram, and Khulna) and three municipalities (Paikgacha, Shakhipur, and Saidpur). The project strongly aligns with SIDA’s result areas by contributing to better environment, greater resilience, and improvements in WASH services, achieved through strengthening urban WASH governance, means and collective advocacy – ultimately leading to curve income erosion and better opportunities for the urban poor. WaterAid Bangladesh thus intends to engage a competent consulting firm to carry out the midline study as per this Request for Proposal.
