People and Organizational Development (P&OD) Officer

 

WaterAid Bangladesh is an international not-for-profit organization, determined to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere within a generation and is looking for a committed, passionate and self-driven individual for the position of ‘People and Organizational Development (P&OD) Officer’ for its country office in Bangladesh.

As a key member of the People and Organizational Development (P&OD) team, this position is responsible for implementing and coordinating human resource policies/practices that includes but not necessarily limited into recruitment, induction, training & development, performance management, data analytics, reporting, staff welfare, employee relation, safeguarding among others, to contribute towards partaking a high performing team in a highly enabling environment. The position will contribute in updating organization People/HR policies/strategies by identifying and researching relevant issues; overseeing HR policy and practices for proper adherence across the organization, acting as the custodian of the People/HR information system/database; producing analytical report to support in making effective HR/People decisions for the organization.

Qualifications Required

Education, Experience, Skills and Competencies:

  • Master’s in Business Administration (major in HR) /Management /Public Administration or relevant subject. Advance studies in HR/relevant subject will be preferred
  • Minimum 05 (five) years’ demonstrated experience in HR field. Work experience with corporate/ international/ multinational organizations will get preference.
  • Sound knowledge on contemporary HR practice and processes, country labour law, current HR trend, terminologies etc. and demonstrated expertise on their application in professional career.
  • Skills to use different technological resources (computer, multimedia projector, internet, email, computer aided systems etc). Experience of using HRIS (human resource information system)/software is essential.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, interpersonal and persuasive communication skills
  • Good report writing skill both in Bangla and English
  • Quick learner and detail oriented; proactive and self-motivated
  • Able to manage information in confidential/sensitive manner
  • Aptitude to understand people and able to draw confidence and support from others
  • Able to plan, prioritise and work under pressure; and meet deadlines
  • Possesses personal integrity, transparency and respect for gender, diversity and organizational culture
Reportable to : Head of People and Organizational Development
Work Station : Country Office, Dhaka, Bangladesh
Contract tenure
: Fixed term, upto 31st March 2022 with a possibility of extension.
Working hours : Full time - 05 days a week with minimum 37.5 hours per week
Salary & benefits
: Monthly salary range: BDT 81,000 - 91,000, corresponding to the skill, competencies and expertise; higher salary may be offered to deserving candidates. Other benefits include provident fund, gratuity, festival bonus, life insurance for self, hospitalisation insurance scheme for self, spouse and children, cell phone allowances etc.
