Job Summary:
An Investment Banking Associate performs financial analysis, modeling, and research to assist customers in making informed investment decisions. They also help firms and individuals raise finance through debt and equity issues and manage mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions. They compile legal and financial paperwork and offer financial guidance while keeping up with regulatory and legal developments.
An Analyst’s principal responsibilities include the following:

  Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling: Developing and maintaining financial models to assess transaction viability and profitability
  • Data Analysis: Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data and market patterns to help make investment decisions.
  • Pitch Book Preparation: Preparing presentations and pitch booklets to share investing ideas and tactics with clients.
  • Deal Execution: Assisted senior bankers in carrying out deals, including the preparation of legal and financial paperwork.
  • Research and Due Diligence: Researching businesses and industries to support investment recommendations.
  • Client Communication: Providing guidance and support to clients through direct communication as well as written reports and presentations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Understanding and abiding by regulations within the financial industry
  • Feasibility & Investment Analysis: Conduct feasibility studies for new projects or expansions. Evaluate investment opportunities and conduct a ROI analysis.
  • Company Valuation & Financial Health Assessment: Perform a business valuation (DCF, comparable). Evaluate financial health (ratio analysis, liquidity, solvency, and profitability).
  • Ad-Hoc Financial Projects -Contribute to M&A analysis, restructuring, or financing. Perform sensitivity analysis and stress testing. Conduct a scrap/waste reduction analysis. Assist with the CAPEX justification for machinery/process changes. Stay informed on market developments, laws, and economic issues.

Educational Qualification

  • BBA/ MBA (Majors in Finance/Accounting/Economics) from any reputed university.
  • CA/ CMA/ ACCA/ CFA/ - (full or part Qualified) will be preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • 5 years of professional Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with any Venture Capital Company, Asset Management Company or a Merchant Bank.

Selection Criteria

  •  Advise companies on IPOs, follow-on offerings, and private placements.
  • 2 Identify promising startups through networking, pitch events, and incubators.
  • 3 knowledge about capital markets i.e, primary and secondary.
  • Capable of managing several projects with competing deadlines.
  • Positive team player with excellent work ethic.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to different industries and businesses.
  • Demonstrated ability to self-direct, analyze, and make independent decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and build relationships with senior management and global stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commercial savvy and discretion when dealing with sensitive information.
