U.S. Embassy Dhaka is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Visa Assistant- (IV Rohingya Assistant).

The incumbent serves as a Visa Assistant in the Consular Section’s Immigrant Visa (IV) unit contributing to the Rohingya refugee/asylum portfolio. As such fluency in Chittagonian language is a must. Incumbent performs duties as Immigrant Visa (IV) Assistant in the IV unit of the Consular Section. Incumbent executes all procedures associated with the processing and printing of Immigrant Visas. Incumbent is primary fraud detection analyst in IV Team who would go through documents that are submitted by the applicants and also look into Consular Consolidated Database and keep a note for adjudicators about his/her findings. Incumbent performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Arts, Commerce, or Science is required (U.S. equivalent college studies). (You must attach a copy of your certificates along with your application form.)
  
• Experience: Position requires a minimum of two years’ experience in administrative, governmental, or para-professional fields.
  
• Language: English- Fluent; speaking/reading/writing, may include the ability to translate. Bangla-Fluent; speaking/ reading/ writing, may include the ability to translate. Rohingya or Chittagonian- Good working knowledge; speaking, reading & writing. This may be tested.
