U.S. Embassy Dhaka is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Public Engagement Assistant (English Language)/English Language Coordinator

The English Language Coordinator coordinates Mission PD English language outreach to Emerging Voices (EV) audiences, reaching youth, minorities, and those who influence them through English teaching and learning programs.  Under the guidance of the Supervisory English Language Coordinator, conceives, develops, and implements both in-person and virtual English language teaching and learning projects and activities and organizes teacher training and professional development opportunities for English teachers.  Works under the direct supervision of the Supervisory English Language Coordinator and receives work guidance from the Regional English Language Officer (RELO), who may be located in another country.  The position has no supervisory responsibilities.


  • University degree in English, English Literature, Linguistics, Teaching English as a Foreign Language, or Education is required. (You must attach a copy of yourcertificates along with your application form.)
  • Three (3) years of experience in English language teaching and/or teacher training OR three (3) years of experience in project management for English language education, linguistics, or American Studies is required.
  • Fluent (speaking/reading/writing) in English and Bangla is required. This may be tested.
