U.S. Embassy Dhaka is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Visa Assistant IV Team Lead (Immigrant Visa (IV) Team Lead).

The incumbent is one of two immigrant visa team sub-unit supervisors and heads a team of six locally employed (LE) staff and is responsible for all immigrant visa (IV) processing and printing including immediate relative, family preference, special immigrant visa, self-petitions, political asylum, adoption and employment based immigrant visa categories. As a sub-unit supervisor, the job holder supervises and directs team member colleagues in executing monthly workload plans as well as daily visa processing and printing. The job holder executes all procedures associated with the processing and printing of IV applications. S/he performs important fraud detection functions. S/he performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Completion of a university degree after at least four years of full-time study is required or the completion of a two-year paralegal degree. (You must attach a copy of your certificates along with your application form.)
  
• Three to five years of experience in customer service or consular work, either internal or external, to provide service or resolve problems with at least one to two years of supervisory experience.
  
• Fluent in English and Bangla (speaking/reading/writing) is required. This may be tested.
