U.S. Embassy Dhaka is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Maintenance Foreman.

This position directly reports to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for all assigned duties. Responsible for maintenance and repair all electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment, high and low voltage systems and equipment, fire alarm and suppression systems for all USG office buildings and emergency power generation to the USG Mission and Residences. Directly supervises a total number of 12 tradesmen consisting of 4 electricians and 8 generator mechanics.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Completion of Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.) and minimum three years diploma in electrical/refrigeration & air conditioning trade from a recognized institute are required.  (You must attach a copy of yourcertificates along with your application form.)
• Five years of working experience as industrial electrician, two years of which must have been at a Foreman or Supervisory position.
• Good working knowledge (speaking/reading/writing) in English and Fluent (speaking/reading/writing) in Bangla is required. This may be tested.
