Job Purpose
The Storekeeper is responsible for managing and maintaining inventory related to office supplies, stationery, official documents, and other materials required for the Office of the Registrar. The role ensures efficient stock control, proper record-keeping, and timely distribution of supplies to support the smooth operation of the office while maintaining compliance with university policies.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management & Stock Control:

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of office supplies, stationery, and official documents required by the Office of the Registrar.
  • Regularly update stock records, ensuring all items are logged in an organized manner.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify the appropriate authority for replenishment when necessary.

Storage & Organization:

  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of supplies and documents to facilitate easy access and retrieval.
  • Organize the storage area to prevent damage, loss, or misplacement of materials.
  • Implement best practices for handling and preserving sensitive or confidential documents.

Issuance & Distribution:

  • Issue office supplies and required materials to staff members upon request.
  • Maintain records of all items issued and received to ensure accountability.
  • Ensure that all distributed items are documented and signed for by the recipients.

Procurement & Coordination:

  • Coordinate with the purchase and procurement section to order necessary supplies as per office requirements.
  • Assist in receiving, inspecting, and verifying delivered goods before adding them to inventory.
  • Ensure that stock procurement follows the university’s budgetary and administrative guidelines.

Record-Keeping & Compliance:

  • Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, including purchase orders, stock movement, and usage reports.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and audit requirements for stock management.
  • Support the digitization of inventory records where applicable.

Safety & Security:

  • Ensure that all items in storage are kept in a secure and well-maintained environment.
  • Follow safety guidelines to prevent hazards related to stored materials.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or theft of supplies immediately.

Qualification & Experience

Educational Qualification:

  • Graduation degree in any discipline.

Experience:

  • Relevant experience in any University, NGO, MNC or large local organizations will get preference.
  • Experience in handling confidential documents and office supplies is preferred.

Language Skill:

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in both Bangla and English.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory management software.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move office supplies when necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary & Allowances
As per University policy.
