UCEP Bangladesh, a leading non-governmental organization, founded by New Zealand philanthropist Mr. Lindsey Allan Cheyne in 1972 has been playing significant role in shaping the lives of thousands of underprivileged children and youth across the country since 1972. With the motto “Help to learn, Skills to Earn”, UCEP Bangladesh provides Life Skills Technical Education, Technical and Vocational Education & Training (TVET), Skills Development and Decent Employment opportunities to underprivileged, women, youth, PWDs and indigenous people. Annually, around 35,000 students are educated by vocational training and technical education through our 36 Technical schools, 12 TVET Institutes, 08 technical outreach centers, and 02 polytechnics.

UCEP Bangladesh has been working in all 08 divisions in Bangladesh through its 08 regions including Dhaka (North & South), Gazipur, Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Cox’s Bazar.

Job Purpose: Empowering the most disadvantaged and vulnerable out of school adolescent girls and young women through market driven occupational and transferable skills with job placement. In short Alternative Learning Programme (ALP).

The project objective is to provide inclusive high-quality education and skill-building for adolescent girls and young women (aged 15-24), prioritizing those in dire circumstances. It targets gender disparities in employment, particularly in informal economy and integrates gender-responsive approaches for equitable access to activities and rights in vocational training and economic empowerment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To contribute to ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation of UCEP Bangladesh’s programmes in line with organizational vision, mission, values and goals.
  • To contribute to develop and implement Result Based Monitoring and Evaluation Framework, related MIS and other necessary tools considering UCEP Bangladesh’s Theory of Change.
  • To contribute to ensure necessary alignment of UCEP Bangladesh’s organizational and programmatic documents (e.g. UCEP Strategies, Project Documents including Logical Framework, Project Proposals etc.) with UCEP Bangladesh’s Theory of Change and support management in this regard.
  •  To assist in orienting and developing capacity of relevant staff at central and regional level on UCEP Bangladesh’s Theory of Change and Result Based M&E Framework.
  • To assist in introducing necessary technology-based tools for ensuring effective and efficient real time data driven M&E system and develop capacity of relevant staff in this regard.
  • To contribute to develop and make functional the Trainee Tracking System (TTS) of UCEP Bangladesh.
  • To contribute to develop systems for Big Data Management including acquisition, data analysis, data quality assessments and reporting for development of key organizational and programmatic documents (e.g. Annual Report, Monthly Monitoring Report, Budgets, Project Documents, Donor Reports, UCEP Bangladesh’s websites, social media, e-newsletter etc.).
  • To continuously update in regard to latest (national and international) developments in Tech-based solutions for M&E.
  • To regularly monitor organizational development and programmes results and share feedback to relevant staff at central and regional level for continuous improvement.
  • To support maintaining necessary network at national and international level for Tech-based solutions for M&E.
  • To regularly visit and monitor all programs of UCEP Bangladesh and its other entities (UTI, UIST, USC etc.).
  • To coordinate with other departments and Regional Management Team for timely development of M&E reports and share feedback.
  • To represent UCEP Bangladesh in different national and international forum under the guidance of supervisor.
  • Promote and contribute to ongoing efforts towards gender equity & equality, child/staff protection & safeguard, inclusiveness, accessibility and discrimination free environment in the workplace and operations/activities/plans. In applicable cases, ensure that necessary budget allocation is there and in KPIs these issues are reflected regarding employees under supervision.
  • To maintain strict confidentiality of information, documents and other internal and external communications.
  • To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the UCEP authority as and when necessary.

Essential Requirements:

  • Masters in Statistics/Economics/Development Economics/Development Studies.
  • 05 years of relevant professional experience preferably including at least 1 years in mid-level management role in M&E in a large organization. 
  • Excellent command of communication skills both in Bangla and English.
  • Excellent computer operating skill & conversant with MS Office package, and trained in M&E related latest software and tools etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in management of M&E system for a large organization, particularly using tech-based solutions.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable and team player.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently.

Age limit for the applicant would be 40 years. Management has the right to make exceptions based on qualifications.

Salary: BDT. 50,000/- (Consolidated)
