Position – Merchandiser (Hardlines)

Purpose

To ensure that sourcing, negotiating, ordering, shipment and new product development processes are of the  highest quality so that the rights product is delivered at the right price on time.    

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and visiting supply base
• Developing and negotiating the product as per brief
• Ordering and following up on deliveries from suppliers
• Planning, doing and reviewing buying trips
• Working on pre and post order systems
• Providing support to the team members of Hardlines Department

Requirements

• At least 5 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in Hardlines categories in sourcing and buying environment
• Excellent communication skills, both in Bangla and English
• Proficiency in computer skills, especially MS Office
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
