General Responsibilities (Overall purpose) |

The Senior Fundraising and Reporting Officer is responsible for supporting the Fundraising & Reporting Manager in all relevant activities - maintaining existing donor relationships and securing new donor funding through the preparation of quality concept notes and proposals, as well as preparing high quality reports for both donors and Tdh HQ. He/she will also work in close coordination with Tdh’s Communications and Advocacy Manager, as fundraising, communications, networking and advocacy are complementary in nature. |
Specific Responsibilities / Context (Tasks) |
Fundraising & donor reporting
- Develop and implement a fundraising plan for the organization, which will achieve the goals for sustainable funding, the development of projects and delivery of core operations
- Compile and maintain a database of international and local donor organizations (international foundations, bilateral and multilateral agencies and private corporations)
- Regularly monitor donor websites and identify donor opportunities matching the work of Tdh
- In coordination with the Fundraising & Reporting Manager and programme staff, prepare quality and compelling concept notes and full project proposals (including budgets) and ensure their timely submission
- Undertake online research and build contacts with potential institutional, individual and corporate donors and foundations
- Maintain relationships with existing donors and respond to their requests in a timely manner
- Organize fundraising campaigns and events
- If required, assist programme staff to undertake situational and needs assessments in order to inform the development of new proposals
- At the request of the Fundraising & Reporting Manager, participate in donor coordination meetings, conferences and workshops in order to heighten the profile of Tdh and maximize opportunities to solicit donor funding
- If necessary, support the Communications & Advocacy Manager in developing promotional and visibility materials and liaising with the media
- Strengthen partnerships with other I/NGOs, academic institutions and corporates in order to develop consortium bids
- When necessary, support due diligence checks on potential new donors
- Support the Fundraising & Reporting Manager, prepare routine progress reports for both donors and Tdh HQ
- Responds in a timewly manner to specific concerns and/or questions raised by donors.

Degree in international relations, community development or other relevant field |
Experience |
At least three (3) years fundraising experience with an I/NGO - essential
Proven professional experience working with key institutional donors (e.g. FCDO, EU, USAID, UN agencies) - essential
Knowledge of child protection, maternal/ child health, nutrition and WASH sectors desirable
Knowledge & experience of working in emergency contexts highly desirable. |

Excellent English speaking and writing skills. Ability to operate Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint. |
