Senior Specialist, FMS Development (Oracle Fusion Developer)

Team and Job Purpose
Purpose of the team is to lead on the development and configuration of Save the Children’s global business and operating applications used across SCI and Members. The team are key to maintaining the application portfolio as fit for purpose and developing new and existing systems in line with business requirements, maximising the value they deliver and enabling our organisation to achieve impact for children. Working in partnership with Transformation Delivery, the team are accountable for delivery of application developments for Transformation Delivery projects, SCI Functions and internal IT functions.

Role purpose
Working with members of the global TDIT team, the role holder will be responsible for building, implementing, continuously improving, supporting and analysing Finance Management System (FMS) solutions within the organisation. This role will partner with business stakeholders and product owners to understand their analytic requirements and implement and maintain finance solutions to meet these needs, utilising best practices.
The role holder will also be required to provide FMS specialist guidance, coaching or mentoring to other team members as required and supporting the FMS Product Development Manager in some team-leading activities when required.

The role may require to work matching UK time zone working hours (BD time 1500 to 2200) from Monday to Friday on temporary & permanent basis depending on project deliverables.

Qualifications and experience

  • An understanding of Financial, ERP knowledge
  • Proven experience in development, implementation and management of Oracle ERP (E-Business Suite or Fusion Cloud).
  • Experience of solving complex business and technical issues through trouble shooting and analysis, defining a clear way forward and ensuring buy in from key stakeholders.
  • Ability to quickly understand and explain complex technical and non-technical information in a succinct and compelling manner to all levels of audience.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.
  • SQL database knowledge - preferably PL/SQL
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Team Leader role experience.
  • Strong track record in administering and supporting applications in complex global organizations.
  • Knowledge of major cloud services providers, like AWS, Azure etc.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams.
  • Skilled in automated build and deployment processes.
  • Knowledge of ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
  • Oracle Certified Implementation Specialist – Fusion Financials preferred.
