The Opportunity

The Officer-EYE will be responsible to provide day to day technical and implementation support to the Employability Skills and Resilience Project and to the implementing partners towards engagement of the project participants into employment.

S/he will engage stakeholders and private sector to catering the needs of the project participants and community to bring a positive change. S/he will provide support to entrepreneurship development of NEET youths. S/he will provide technical guidance on how to deliver the training in a more interactive way on the employability skills, vocational training, and entrepreneurship training. Moreover, s/he will provide guideline on how to deliver the entrepreneurship training and skill training to the project staff and youths. S/he will visit the field 50% of her/his time to ensure quality deliverables at the field level. The position will also provide extensive support to project team to create employment linkage support in communication with the private sector. S/he will contribute to EYE program on a regular basis to ensure smooth field level implementation of the employment support and assist in mitigating any challenges.  S/he will provide overall support to training centre and hub related activities such as career counselling, entrepreneurship development, business/job linkage, business plan development and training delivery. Moreover, s/he will be contributing to the planning and execution of the youth project activities and ensure that the objectives and results of the project are met to the satisfaction of the participants, local stakeholders, partners, Save the Children and donors.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 3 years of working experience in entrepreneurship development program in green aspect and TVET based.
  • Clear understanding and competency on project implementation, technical support and monitoring.
  • The job holder is expected to have professional knowledge on various policies of Bangladesh government regarding Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Youth Development, entrepreneurship and GESI.
  • Experience in implementing skills training program, youth development, entrepreneurship development, soft skills, stakeholder engagement along with private sector engagement (business corporations, Chambers of commerce), internal and external communication.
  • Master’s degree, preferably in Social Science/Business Management/Statistics/Development Studies or Relevant field.
  • Additional professional certificates or relevant course on Entrepreneurship Development and CBTA level 4 completed will get preference
