The Opportunity

Technical Specialist - MEAL & Documentation will work under the supervision of the Senior Manager-MEAL and is mainly responsible to provide adequate support to areas of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Learning (MEAL) and knowledge management to ensure efficient and effective MEAL system is being implemented in the Saving Women And Premature babies (SWAP) Project complying with SCI standards and procedures. S/he will provide support to the implementation of MIS, eMIS, eLMIS, and other information systems. S/he will also provide technical assistance on eMIS, eLMIS. S/he will be responsible for implementing the tools, guideline of MEAL at project level to track project progress and support to ensure program quality. S/he will implement quality benchmark, accountability system, facilitate learning and knowledge management mechanisms at project level. S/he will be responsible to develop and pilot data collection tools, orient data collectors, and supervise data collection in different research and evaluation studies. S/he will also be responsible for ensuring quality of data, data management, updating the MEAL database and analysing MEAL data at key intervals. S/he will conduct training/workshops to build capacity of the partners/program staff on MEAL and provide them with ongoing MEAL technical support.

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 5 years working experience in MEAL, MIS and eMIS.
  • Advance knowledge on MEAL, Knowledge Management System with International NGOs and Donor Agencies.
  • Good data management and analytical skills and ability to interpret data, and appropriate computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, particularly, in SPSS, MS-Excel, NVivo, PowerBi and good communication skills both in Bangla and English etc.
  • Ability to lead, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills,
  • Master’s in Business/Social Science or relevant field
