The Opportunity:
The Nurse plays a crucial role in enhancing nursing care standards at our health facilities, particularly in PHCC and HP settings. Responsibilities include delivering quality patient care, managing intravenous fluids, ensuring wound care compliance, and collaborating with various disciplines for effective healthcare delivery. The role involves prioritizing emergencies, contributing to health education, and actively participating in safety initiatives. Upholding confidentiality and professionalism, the Nurse oversees patient assessments, facilitates handovers, and supports data collection. Committed to team safety, the role extends to vaccination, MHPSS, and SRH services. Adherence to Save the Children policies is paramount, with flexibility for additional tasks as assigned by the line manager. Overall, the Nurse embodies healthcare excellence, promoting a safe and caring environment for all.
Qualifications and Experience:
- With a minimum of 2 years' clinical expertise in primary and emergency healthcare, preferably in tropical infections and diseases, the ideal candidate is registered and licensed by the Bangladesh's Medical Board.
- Essential experience includes working in 24/7 health facilities, supervising staff, and a background in emergency response, including night duty.
- The candidate must possess sound knowledge of health and nutrition issues and exhibit skills in working within tight timeframes, excellent interpersonal communication, motivation for fieldwork, and proficiency in computer applications.
- Desirable qualifications include additional professional certificates, and the candidate should demonstrate a positive attitude towards teamwork, child protection, non-discrimination, and gender sensitivity.
- BSC in Nursing from an accredited academic institution and recognized & registered by Bangladesh Nursing & Midwifery Council (BMDC) is preferred or equivalent.
