Senior Manager – Education

The Opportunity

The Senior manager Education is a key position in the Education portfolio of Save the Children in Bangladesh. S/he will be responsible for planning, and developing an efficient operation system of project activities, supporting the team including partner organizations in the smooth operation of the project. S/he will make a strong working relationship with the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE) and provide support to the partner NGOs and government officials at central, district, and local levels. S/he will be responsible for assuring quality implementation in different areas of quality project implementation including community mobilization, primary education, teacher’s capacity building, technology in education, monitoring, and research. S/he will be responsible for managing and overseeing budgets and expenditures, implementation, procurement, and reporting. S/he also needs to keep close liaison with all stakeholders both internally and externally.

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 8 years of working experience in a relevant field including 3 years in management position including working experience with Director of Primary Education (DPE), Education Technology (EdTech), National Curriculum textbook board (NCTB), National Academy of Primary Education (NAPE) and Partner NGOs.
  • Advanced knowledge about primary, teacher’s capacity building and remedial support in Bangladesh.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and expertise in Primary Education Curriculum, education policy, materials development, capacity development, Education Technology (EdTech), ICT in education, learning gap, and quality education.
  • Experience in Teachers’ Professional Development (TPD)educational project management, working with partners, and government offices.
  • The working experience may be flexible for a highly qualified person. 
  • Excellent skills in process facilitation and coordination with high standards, Team management, Good planning and coordinating skills, Good presentation skills, Time management skills, Good monitoring and analytical skills.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication in English and Bangla.
  • Proficient in computer skills of word processing in MS office.
  • Master’s Degree, preferably in Education and/or relevant discipline.
