Senior Officer – Campaign and Community Engagement (SHIFT)

The Opportunity

This position is mainly responsible for supporting in program planning, quality implementation of SHIFT innovation, capacity building support including program monitoring and evaluation under Sponsorship funded Shishuder Jonno program at Barishal Impact Area. This role is for providing field level technical and operational support, guided by Manager–Adolescent Development. S/he will play coordination role to improve the awareness and motivate adolescents and youth boys/girls to implement SHIFT model as Fun adult. SHIFT is a digital campaign accelerator project that links grassroots youth advocacy movements with creative agencies and provides mentorship, digital literacy and skills development to the participants. S/he will also play the lead role in creating a youth group, gather and motivate them to make the campaign successful. S/he will assist the Manager and Technical Specialists with organizing training, design the campaign for social issues, product development for campaign, organize the campaign in district and national level, media engagement, documentation and implementation. This role demonstrates quality monitoring of SHIFT and provides support with reporting and learning capturing. This position will be responsible to assist for planning and delivering overall SHIFT related materials development, printing, media engagement and capacity strengthening initiatives for project relevant colleagues, implementing partner staffs. Moreover, regular follow up, supportive supervision of SHIFTER and assisting in reporting & video documentation.

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 03 years’ of relevant working experience with campaign and adolescent development program, particularly with adolescents and youth and their engagement with campaign and social change activities.
  • Experience of campaign, youth engagement, material development, media engagement would be preferable.
  • Excellent technical knowledge on Bangladesh youth activist Issues, campaign and social change initiatives in rural contexts especially in Barisal context.
  • Excellent skills in coordinating, facilitation of training/workshop/meetings, and community mobilization.
  • Appropriate computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet browsing are essential requirements.
  • Master’s Degree in any subject, preferably in Social Science

Contract length: Contractual (Till 31-Aug-2023)
