Senior Officer – MIS, EiE

The Opportunity
The Senior Officer-MIS acts as the focal person to deliver information management systems and services along with operations of other ICT applications for monitoring, evaluation and research, and data management for diverse grants/projects under SCI’s Rohingya Response Education in Emergencies (EiE) programs. S/he is primarily responsible to manage and coordinate the collection of data based on various IMS and EiE templates while ensuring effective operations following aligned ICT strategies and principles. The Senior Officer-MIS works closely with partner MIS Officers while ensuring regular capacity building of partner MIS team members and EiE program team colleagues in data collection tools and common data protection practices. The incumbent works closely with EiE Project Managers, Officers, Program Managers, Advisors and Specialists while collaborating with the MEAL team and more specifically, with the MEAL Officer(s) assigned for rendering dedicated support to EiE program. The Senior Officer-MIS is required to attend internal and external meetings and workshops related to EiE programmatic data management and data protection systems. The Senior Officer-MIS may also provide support to the implementation and data capture of evaluative assessments in the field. This position is also accountable for producing any daily, weekly, and regular reports for both external and internal organizational needs.
Qualifications and experience
- 04 years of information systems management experience, preferably in humanitarian response and/or emergency contexts
- Preference will be given to demonstrated working experience in Education programs
- Knowledge of information management, database management, data operations, data analysis, and report generation
- Knowledge of humanitarian and donor compliances, humanitarian response operation modalities and child-friendly methods would be an asset
- Excellent analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative data analysis
- Advanced IT skills with strong command on MS Office, particularly in Excel, SPSS/STATA and PowerBi
- Enthusiasm, motivation, self-confidence, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Fluency in written and spoken Bangla, and ability to converse in the Chittagong dialect
- Master’s Degree, preferably in Management Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, or any other relevant discipline of Social Science.
