Deputy Manager - Program Coordination (BSM), COVID-19 Response

The Opportunity
This position will work directly with BSM (Bangladesh Society of Medicine) to assist Manager- Training and Implementation regarding improved coordination and collaboration of different stakeholders such as QIS/HSM/MNCAH/MCRAH/DGNM under DGHS. S/he will develop action plan for implementing the National strategic plan for COVID-19 case management and provide administrative/logistic support to BSM and COVID-19 response activities of the project. S/he will coordinate with finance, procurement, and admin teams as well as government officials for effective program delivery. S/he will also contribute to research and analysis, planning and monitoring, and reporting activities within the teams and ensure documentation and submission of reports as required by the parties engaged in the MOU.

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 5 years’ experiences in relevant field, preferably in health programs, including
    02 years of experience in managing staff capacity, administrative and operations functions.
  • Preference will be given to experiences in working with MOH&FW, USAID project, NGOs/INGOs.
  • Excellent understanding of MOHFW structures, systems, and procedures.
  • Good understanding of COVID-19 pandemic and the national response plan
  • Capacity to maintain documentation and archiving of key documents (both soft and hardcopy) and Ensure reporting to BSM and SCI.
  • Proficiency in advanced level MS Office Package
  • Excellent communication skills both in Bangla and English.
  • Master’s degree, preferably in Social Science/Business Studies or relevant discipline.

Contract length: Up to August 31, 2022

Job Location: Dhaka / BSM Office
