Senior Manager – MEAL, Start Fund Bangladesh

The Opportunity

This position is mainly responsible for leading the development of MEAL system to evidence the outcomes of Start Fund Bangladesh. S/he will monitor and evaluate all the Start funded responses while guiding and mentoring the MEAL focal of awarded member agencies as and when required. The position is integral in innovating the national and international humanitarian architecture and fundraising.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Track and evaluate progress and process of Start Fund Bangladesh interventions on emergency response, capacity building, localization and collaboration
  • Developing donor reports; Updating and analysing Dashboards; Developing CRS reports
  • Ensure that the Start Fund Bangladesh responses are accountable and responsive to the donors, member NGOs, affected communities as well as wider stakeholders
  • Collate, document and disseminate evidence based learning from intervention tracking and accountability mechanisms for future directions
  • Developing case studies; Facilitating adoption of new innovations and learning by new projects

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 7 years’ experience in monitoring & evaluation, proven track record [4 years] of developing, implementing and reviewing MEAL systems/strategies at sector level;
  • Previous experience of successfully implementing Outcome Level Monitoring at Country/Sector Level;
  • Solid understanding of quantitative and qualitative monitoring and evaluation methodologies, including skills in analysis, documentation and presentation of complex data/information;
  • Should be proficient in computer operation, particularly, in R/SPSS, MS-Excel, and MS-PowerPoint
  • Experience in designing and implementing Technology based MEAL system/processes;
  • Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage multiple tasks and meet deadline while maintaining attention to detail
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills, and results oriented approach
  • Excellent communication skills both in English and Bangla, including report writing skill
  • Masters Degree, preferably in Statistics/Development Studies/Social Sciences/Anthropology or relevant discipline

Contract length: Contractual for 1 year with high possibility for further extension
