Deputy Manager – Basic Education, Shishuder Jonno

The Opportunity

This position is mainly responsible for ensuring technical guidance of sponsorship funded Shishuder Jonno program’s basic education component at field level, guided by the respective Program strategy and plans. S/he will act as one of the technical persons to maintain technical standards in quality primary education in coordination with Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD), School Health and Nutrition program, Child Protection, and Community Mobilization. S/he is primarily responsible for coordination with field-based education counterparts, implementing partner staff’s capacity building, different training facilitation, materials development, and regular follow up, supervision. Also, s/he will provide support to ensure quality monitoring of basic education interventions and provide inputs in planning, budgeting and implementation. This position will also coordinate with different local level education stakeholders, GO/NGOs/private agencies for cooperation, collaboration and sharing programs whenever necessary.

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 5 years of experiences in the field of primary education as coordinator or technical position.
  • Demonstrated experience on basic education and other education related program
  • Sound knowledge on training, social inclusion, child protection, curriculum design, planning
  • Excellent facilitation and report writing skills (both Bangla & English)
  • Proficiency in MS Office package and using of internet
  • Capacity development experience, particularly to the partner organizations
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Master’s Degree, preferably in Social Science/Education ore related discipline
