Senior Manager – MEAL & Research, Suchana

The role

Reporting to the Deputy Director – Knowledge, Research, MEAL, this is a key position of the program to ensure establishment and operationalizing efficient and effective M&E and learning system for Suchana. S/he will be responsible for setting up a comprehensive M&E and leaning system in line with Suchana goal and objectives, and ensure the system operates smoothly throughout the life of the program to achieve program long-term goal and short-term intermediate levels outcomes.

The Senior Manager will be further responsible for developing/adapting M&E tools and methods, providing training, guidance and technical support to Suchana a field-based MEAL team to operationalize M&E on the ground. S/he will also provide work closely to develop the tools on annual survey, semi-annual survey, graduation monitoring survey, and final evaluation in collaboration with external evaluators. S/he will maintain necessary coordination with SCi MEAL structure as well as other coalition members M&E structure and engagement with other consortium partners to review the tools for round monitoring and rapid assessment to generate evidence. The incumbent will work directly to develop tools for operations research, post flood assessment, climate resilience component analysis and prepare report to share with consortium partners and other stakeholders

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 7 years’ experience in monitoring & evaluation, proven track record [3 years +] of in management position. Experience in M&E of food security, maternal child health and nutrition and social protection which are commonly treated as major determinants of poverty.
  • Demonstrated experience on M&E System Development and Management.
  • Ability to developing tools/methodology to monitor, measure and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of different program components on livelihood and nutrition, graduation and system strengthening interventions across multiple GoB sectors and have consistent linkage with MIS structure.
  • Solid understanding of quantitative and qualitative monitoring and evaluation methodologies, including skills in analysis, documentation and presentation of complex data/information.
  • Experience in designing and implementing Technology based MEAL system/processes.
  • Good analytical, reporting and documentation skill.
  • Ability to analyses information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically.
  • Proven capacity to manage team and also train and coach staff.
  • Fluency in English (both written and oral)
  • Proficiency in relevant software, preferably in SPSS/Access/Excel and/or relevant
  • Master’s Degree, preferably in Statistics, Population Science or Social Science or relevant discipline.
