The role

The position is responsible for providing assistance to the Coordinator – Budgeting and Reporting regarding all financial concerns of the Field office/District Office in a team working environment. The position is mainly responsible for financial management according to SC-BdCO policies and procedure and established effective financial system for providing maximum support to program management.

S/he will ensure that SC policies and procedures are understood and adhered to specifically in processing of re-classes vouchers. S/he will make sure that adequate and relevant supporting documents are attached to the re-class vouchers during the re-classifications, that the re-class requests are approved by the proper budget holders. Record all inter country transactions into financial system and make sure that accurate codes are used during the entry into the system. S/he will ensure that all transactions received from different locations including SCI centre are related to response and any concern with regard to them are reported to relevant parties within the timeline. Record all missing time sheets related transactions into system during the hard close and make sure that no transaction is missing from the past month. Coordinate with different stake holders during the budget developments and make sure that phasing of proposal budgets are also completed during the proposal development stages. Update FD-7 tracker regularly, assist in preparing FD7 budget for relevant proposal budgets with regular discussion with program colleagues.  Work with other colleagues on master budget and budget annual phasing.

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 01 years’ experience in related field. Prior experience of emergency response is preferred;
  • Advance knowledge on basic Accounting procedure and practice in managing computerize Accounting System with International NGOs and Donor Agencies;
  • Good knowledge on computerize accounting system
  • Excellent inter-personal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Hands-on computer (MS Office & Excel) operating skills
  • Excellent coordination skill
  • Excellent negotiation skill
  • Bachelor Degree, preferably in Accounting/Finance/Management

Contract length: 06 months with possibility of extension depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funding.
