Manager – Adolescent, Suchana

The Opportunity

This position is mainly responsible for providing strategic guidance, planning and implementation of adolescent component of Suchana. S/he will coordinate for developing project documents, plans and budget to ensure efficient program delivery in the field and program monitoring; facilitate capacity development initiatives of adolescents, implementing partner’s field staff and frontline staff of GOB as & when required. S/he will contribute to strengthen advocacy and networking components of Suchana project; initiate study and research to improve Suchana; provide support on quarterly and annual report preparation and liaison for external relations. The Manager will provide technical assistance to partner NGOs who are directly implementing the program and assist to trouble shooting day to day for smooth implementation of adolescent component and oversee effectiveness of utilizing resources. S/he will also coordinate with livelihoods, nutrition interventions to maximize the programmatic impact on adolescents and oversee quality of field implementation, promotion of Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) and engagement into savings of adolescent groups. The Manager will coordinate with GOB line departments such as Department of Women Affairs (DWA), Department of Youth Development (DYD) and Department of Social Services (DSS) to maximize support for adolescent groups.    

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 6 years’ experience in the relevant field and managerial positions
  • Clear understanding and competency on adolescent programming, people centric program management and leadership
  • Experience in team management, internal and external communication and research.
  • Experience in GOB counterparts dealing
  • Report writing skills both in Bangla and English
  • Analytical ability to monitor data and understanding of participatory monitoring
  • Excellent communication and coordination skill
  • Proficiency in MS Office package   
  • Master Degree, preferably in Anthropology/Development Studies/Social Science or relevant

Contract length: Contractual up to 31 December 2022
Job Location: Sylhet
