SOS Children's Village International in Bangladesh (www.sos-bangladesh.org) is a non-governmental social development organisation that provides care for the children who have lost parental care or who are at risk of losing parental care and deprived of a caring family environment. SOS Children's Villages operates in over 130 countries and territories worldwide. In Bangladesh, we have been working since 1972 and presently have programmes in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Chattogram, Bogura, Sylhet and Bagerhat.
Our Programmes contribute to delivering on SDGs with a special focus on our target group to improve the national social protection system, fighting inequalities, promoting access to quality education, strengthening youth employability and ending violence against children.
Position: Assistant Officer- Corporate Fundraising
Location of job: Chattogram
Job Nature: Contractual
Area of Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with companies, foundations, MNCs, high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), and local stakeholders to help achieve the team’s yearly fundraising goals.
- Assist in preparing clear and convincing fundraising proposals and donor reports.
- Find new corporate donors through research and market analysis, and understand what other NGOs are doing to bring in funds.
- Help plan and organize meetings, field visits, and events with corporate donors.
- Support both new donor acquisition and the retention of existing donors through regular engagement.
- Maintain positive and timely communication with corporate donors before, during, and after donations.
- Coordinate volunteering events, employee donation drives, and corporate engagement campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Programme Development team to prepare project proposals, grant documents, and progress reports.
- Keep donor data, files, and records organized and updated.
- Support the creation of presentations, briefs, and other materials for meetings and campaigns.
- Coordinate with external vendors and agencies when needed.
- Maintain proper documentation and follow organizational guidelines.
- Assist with any other tasks assigned by the supervisor to support the team’s smooth operations.
- Adhere to the guidelines of Child Protection Policy, Code of Conduct, Sexual Misconduct Regulation (PSHEA) and all other rules of SOS Bangladesh
- All other works assigned by the supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
- Age: 25 to 35 years.
- At least six months’ experience in the corporate sector.
- Postgraduate from a Govt. recognized universities.
- Ability to produce an analytical report, including best practices for the development of the programme
- Candidates should have a good command of the English language (both written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and the internet is necessary and flexible to work in software.
- Willingness to travel to remote areas to deal with the community people.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
Salary: 30,000 monthly
