Responsibility:
Cost Controller shall be the sole responsible for all aspects of receiving of store materials and analyzing of costs and cost control activities, implementation of Financial policies, maintaining interdepartmental working relationships as well as assist the Executive Assistant Manager-Finance in the implementation of Cost Control overall strategies and plans in conjunction with PPHG Corporate Policy. The incumbent has to perform the following duties but not limited to, as follows:
- To control and compute the cost of Food & Beverage, Associate meals A&G, A&P, Complimentary Food & Beverage expenses.
- To control the cost of merchandise as per the market list and take necessary measures to manage the inappropriate cost as and when requirement basis.
- To supervise receiving of Food and Beverage items as well as other storable items as to quality and quantity.
- To conduct physical inventory monthly and quarterly and yearly basis and provide necessary suggestions to Executive Assistant Manager-Finance regarding cost control mechanism.
- To take part in fixing the menu price in light of the cost of commodities and pricing of the other competitors in the local and international market.
- To train up Associates regarding reducing wastage and investigate the activities of the various outlets of the Hotel.
- To make the inventory report, variance report, cost report, local purchase report, reconciliation of Food & Beverage statements, dishes sales report and F&B cover report etc.
- To check the proper recording of items and costing of guest checks, officer’s checks with reference to the departmental head’s orders.
- To ensure cleanliness atmosphere of whole area of dock to store, freezers and checking the temperature and humidity of store.
- Maintain a very good congenial atmosphere and coordination with the Departments regarding all types of store items distribution and related activities
- Any other lawful assignment given by the competent authority as and when requirement basis.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum MBA or Equivalent Master’s Degree in Commerce from any reputed and recognized University.
- Partial completion of a professional certification such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum 08 (eight) years of experience in Financial activities in a reputed Brand Hotel/same industry with at least 2-3 years as Managerial position/Assistant Cost Controller.
- Strong knowledge about financial reporting, budgeting and cost analysis.
- Should possess strong presentation & convincing capability, networking strength, entertaining clients, ability to plan ahead and ready to work under pressure.
- Ability to implement and maintain PPSD Cost Control as well as other relevant policy.
- Maximum 40 (forty) years of age as of last date of submitting the application.
- Age and Experience limit may be relaxed for deserving candidates as per the discretion of the Management.
Other Requirements:
- Strong Leadership skills & administrative capabilities are required to run the Section smoothly.
- Presentable personality, well groomed, courteous and excellent inter-personal relationship skills.
- Command of the English language both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in accounting software & Microsoft Office specially in Word & Excel.
- Should have a “Can Do Attitude”.
- Ready to work extra hours irrespective of Duty schedule based on emergency situations.
