Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka, a 5-Star Hotel in Dhaka, Bangladesh; is being operated by Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Singapore and a member of the Global Hotel Alliance encompassing over 450 upscale and luxury hotels & resorts globally.

We are inviting applications from Bangladeshi Nationals for the following position of the Property, Operation, Maintenance & Energy Cost (POMEC) Department. The candidates must fulfill the following criteria to qualify for the position:

Responsibility:

Sub-Assistant Engineer (CIVIL) shall be the representative of Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka to ensure 5 Star Standard Building maintenance facilities with amazing interior designs for our valued guests and handle every related issue efficiently, courteously and professionally. The incumbent has to perform the following duties but not limited to, as follows:

• Ensuring quality of works, providing daily work supervision & coordination to all department & Interior, and all site personnel.
• Planning, undertaking scheduled maintenance works & obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings & managing budgets.
• Preparing any new interior & exterior renovation related minor structural and Interior drawing.
• Documentation and periodical reporting and capable of solving all technical and managerial problems at project.
• Identifying faulty workmanship and works and getting those corrected & analyzing of complete work and arranging payment to contractor or vendors.
• Confirming all types of bills (sub-contractor, suppliers and vendor), investigation, labor approval, revolving, additional budgeting etc.
• Reports hazardous practices or conditions to the Director of Technical Services immediately and suggest corrective actions as appropriate.
• Any other lawful assignment given by the competent authority as and when requirement basis. 

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in CIVIL Engineering from any Government Polytechnic Institution.
• Must have knowledge about AutoCAD 2D/3D, MS Office package.
• Minimum 5-7 years construction work experience at any reputed Multistoried commercial buildings/Hospital/Hospitality industries.
• Should have knowledge on Building Construction, Civil Construction, Estimating, Finishing, Project Management, Quality Control Assurance and Supervision.
• Should have knowledge on Planning, undertaking scheduled maintenance works & obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings & managing budgets.
• Ability to read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, safety manuals and engineering drawings.
• Not more than 35 (thirty-five) years of age as of last date of submitting the application.
• Age and Experience limit may be relaxed for deserving candidates as per the discretion of the Management.

Other Requirements:

• Presentable personality, well groomed, courteous and excellent inter-personal relationship skills.
• Commendable documented communications proficiency both in spoken & written English and Bangla.
• Should have a “Can Do Attitude”.
• Confident to work independently with minimum supervision and ready to work extra hours irrespective of Duty schedule based on emergency situations.
