Terms of Reference (ToR) Introduction SNV Netherlands Development Organisation had started its journey in 1965 from Netherlands as not profitable volunteer organisation. SNV have built a long-term, local presence in countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America working in the sectors of WASH, Agriculture and Renewable Energy through providing advisory services, facilitating knowledge development, networking, strengthening local capacity builders, and carrying out advocacy at national and international levels.SNV mission is to make a lasting difference in the lives of millions of people living in poverty. For more information, please refer to our website: www.snv.org Bangladesh has started many interventions especially around faecal sludge management, over the past years. Results are promising, but also show the complexity of arriving at citywide services, requiring business development, policy changes, technical and financial solutions, as well as behavior change of a range of stakeholders. SNV is implementing an Urban Sanitation Programme (Citywide Inclusive Sanitation Engagement or CWISE) in Southern Bangladesh under the leadership of Local Government Authorities, City Corporation and Municipalities. CWISE project objectives is to improve this situation. Over the past 6 years, the programme has successfully developed a multi-stakeholder coordination mechanism at the local level and bringing together local authorities, utility, national agencies, universities, private sector and civil society around urban sanitation. The main objective of the project is to demonstrate a citywide, pro-poor, accountable, safe and sustainable faecal sludge management services for the urban context in Bangladesh, showing improvement in the living environment and contributing to the health and well-being of the urban population. Application Interested organisations or consulting firms or individual consultants are requested to submit their technical and financial proposals separately with the details organisational profiles/individual relevant experience, methodology (mentioned in ToR, might be revise based on both party consent) including activities and milestones, budget details, time frame and CVs of experts.
