Sydney International School (SIS) uses the Cambridge curriculum blended with Australian activity-based and child centered learning system. Our school campus is located at Gulshan 2 in the diplomatic area of Dhaka. Job Title: We are looking for smart, dynamic Elementary, Primary, and O-level Teachers in all areas especially in Mathematics, English, Bangla, Business, and Science; singular-subject teachers are also welcome.
Requirements:
Education
- A minimum Bachelor's degree from any recognized University with a background of O/A levels will be an additional qualification.
- Teaching certification and accreditation. CIE-trained teachers will have extra preferences.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years teaching experience with proof of track record.
Additional Requirements
- A minimum two-year commitment is required.
- Candidate with a professional teaching qualification (i.e. B.Ed./Cambridge Celta/ Cambridge certificate courses/ British Council Certificate courses) will be preferred.
- Strong moral values and discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in English.
- Strong utilization of technological software platforms and a thorough knowledge of their uses.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Have proper transportation to Sydney International School considering arrival on time.
- An interest and ability to deliver child-centered and activity-based learning
Essential and Basic Responsibilities:
- Assist the Principal and Vice Principal in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the school.
- To meet with the coordinator each week to plan lessons for the following week in all Learning Areas.
- Monitor all aspects of the student's physical health, and academic & emotional well-being and report concerns to the Coordinator, Vice Principal, or Principal.
- Teaching students based on Cambridge Curriculum guidelines within your specialist subject areas.
- To contribute to discussions at parent and staff meetings to support the smooth running and administration of the SIS.
- Ensuring the highest standard of quality and applying the most up-to-date teaching methods.
- Teach in innovative ways to ensure the quality of education.
- Staff will be required to attend after-hours staff meetings, training sessions, and promotional activities as aspects of professional duties.
- Participate in opportunities to boost your learning through continuous workshops, and professional development activities to improve teaching skills and knowledge. Undergo
monitoring and training by more experienced colleagues.
- Observe complete confidentiality of information related to the students, staff, and conduct of school operations and business. Failure to do so will result in immediate termination of
employment.
- Respect all children/staff of their ethnicities and cultures regardless.
- Usage of interactive and innovative teaching ideas.
- Other Ad-hoc academic and administrative duties as needed by the institution.
- Respect the rules, policies, and guidelines of SIS.
