Position Name: Country IT Head

Department : IT

Major Responsibilities:

The Country IT Head is responsible for all IT related activities in Siemens Industrial Limited in Bangladesh. This includes the following tasks. 

1. User Engagement topics

a. Ensure necessary support for installation and /or fixing of hardware and software issues for all IT users in the company by engaging on-site support engineers
b. Determine and provide necessary solution for Windows and Office365 user topics

2. Business Engagement topics

a. Capture and document BU-specific and company-specific requirements related to software (ERP /local apps /other off-the-shelf software) and hardware (project-specific or user-specific)
b. Follow and implement PM@Siemens guideline for all IT projects

3. Infrastructure topics

a.Ensure all infrastructure equipment are functional and operative with 99.5% uptime
b.Manage and provision Windows Server, File Server, Application Server, Database Server, Print Server, DHCP Server, SCCM Server, NPS Server, vCenter Server in Microsoft-only platform
c.Understanding of network architecture of LAN, WAN, WLAN including firewall, router, core and distribution switch for both office and guest networks to ensure overall network performance
d.Implement AMC with all relevant partners /principles for all infrastructure equipment to ensure 100% coverage to ensure service continuation and support

4.SAP ERP topics

a. Working knowledge of all SAP 6.0 EHP7 modules – SD /MM /FICO /PP
b. Manage all user administration topic for Siemens Industrial
c. Act as the local CR manager, support annual reorg activities

5.Local Applications topics

a. Capturing necessary user requirement and follow up the implementation by coordinating with vendors within deadlines
b. Provide necessary environment (e.g. OS, DB server, application server etc.) for installation and execution of all IT applications
c. Taking data backup and perform recovery to ensure

6. Budgeting and Commercial topics

a. Take part in annual budgeting activities for IT department by preparing and presenting the draft overhead costs, manpower plan and investment plan to the Executive Management
b. Prepare necessary documentation, respond to bank queries and facilitate on-time payment to all local, regional and global service and /or product providers

17.Miscellaneous topics

a. Create and update IT-related policies regularly to ensure complete compliance with global standards and local adherence
b. Ensure updated details are regularly recorded for all IT assets in the ITAM tool
c. Act as local Information Security and cybersecurity lead and ensure all necessary guidelines are implemented
d. Act as the local data supplier to the global directory system and ensure correct data is updated regularly
