Position : Head of Security and Asset Management

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assess and understand the probable security treat for SHN operation across the country and plan to mitigate those issues Maintaining strong relationship with law enforcement authorities and prosecutors to protect SHN from security threat.
  • Provide effective security and safety management services for all region and clinic operations and its employees by utilizing excellent workplace security and safety measures.
  • Maximize security effectiveness by coordinating proper security protocol in all areas of SHN establishment across the country and handle all incidents with discretion .
  • Maintain strong coordination with SHN Retainer Panels for necessary legal vetting of all the Lease, Contract agreement which ensure greater interest of SHN.
  • Ensures that all existing and new rental agreements for clinics, regional offices and other SHN business and office locations are transparent and have been negotiated based on fair market value before execution.
  • Support SHN's business development programs by identifying areas and locations and negotiating contracts for establishing new business initiatives such as SHN Pharmacy, SHN labs etc
  • Coordinate with landlords, architect and external stakeholders to finalize designs, drawings, specifications, bills of quantities (BoQ), tender documents and material lists for SHN facilities and asset development and infrastructure related works.
  • Works with the SHN procurement staff to ensure that newly acquired assets- furniture, equipment, vehicles etc. are inventoried, delivered to their proper location, installed, and if needed put on a regular maintenance schedule
  • Evaluate market rate analysis for new acquisition of SHN facility and asset-procurements, scrutinize bills submitted by suppliers and subcontractors prior to forwarding them to the Finance Department.
  • Follow up, inspect and ensure facilities materials are delivered promptly, undertake regular visits to clinics and regional offices for facility and asset monitoring.
  • Oversee progress, budgets and expenditure concerning SHN facility and asset management activities and recommend appropriate courses of action.
  • Develop a disposal plan for inoperable machineries and equipment's complying with SHN property disposal guidelines and where applicable GoB law.
  • Carry out other duties as advised by the supervisor or the CEO.

Job Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of previous security & asset management experience with an organization that has multiple offices/outlets, properties, facilities, assets across the country
  • Retired Mid/Senior level Defense /Law Enforcing Officials with strong connectivity/network will be given preference. Ability to learn new things and work in a multi-stake holder environment will be a critical success factor.
  • MBA/Master degree in any discipline is required.
  • Knowledge of civil laws, commercial property leases, real estate laws and other statutory regulations that may effect SHN clinic operations.
  • High integrity level; go getter; willing to travel extensively across Bangladesh
  • Computer skills - MS Project, GIS, MS Office (especially Excel).<
  • Experience in DRR or emergency response activities desirable.
