Position: Professor

Academic Qualifications:

• PhD degree or an equivalent, in the relevant discipline from a well reputed university, with at least 2 (two) 1st Class/Division/ Grade A of which at least one 1st Class/Division/ Grade A will have to be in Bachelor’s or Master`s degree.
• No third Class/Division or CGPA/GPA below B in any degree is acceptable.
• Preference will be given to the candidates having PhD from the USA, Canada, Australia or UK.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 12 years of teaching experience at the university level of which at least 5 (five) years has to be as Associate Professor. The candidates must have at least 15 articles published in recognized journals of which 7 (seven) have to be published as Associate Professor. Candidates’ involvement in funded research or industrial attachment will be considered as an added advantage.

Note: For the positions of the FDT, GDM, Dance, Music and Fine Arts Departments, candidates may also apply with the following qualifications and experiences.

• Candidates with PhD/MPhil will be given preference.
• No third Class/Division or CGPA/GPA below B in any degree is acceptable.

Note: The candidates for the FDT, AMMT, GDM, Interior Architecture, Fine Arts, Music, Dance, Business Administration, Law, English, Sociology & Anthropology, Islamic Studies and Government & Politics Departments will have to have the following qualifications.

• Candidates with Bachelor’s degree of 4 (four) years (honors) and Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree of 3 (three) years (honors) and Master’s degree, in the relevant discipline from a well reputed university, with at least 3 (three) 1st Division/Class/ Grade A.

Position: Secretary to the Chairman of BoT

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Secretary to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology shall be the safe custodian and caretaker of the Office of the Board of Trustees. S/he will keep the Chairman cognizant of the state of every affair related to the university and the Trust. S/he will carry out the regular routine jobs as assigned by the Chairman. S/he shall be responsible for convening the meetings, fixing the items of the agenda of meetings, preparing the working papers for the meetings, taking the minutes, writing the proceedings of the meetings and communicating the proceedings/decisions of the meetings to all concerned. The Secretary shall interact and maintain liaison with all concerned. S/he shall oversee the accounts of the Trust and submit the annual return of the Trust. S/he shall assist the Chairman to implement the decisions of the BoT under the guidance of the Chairman. S/he will perform such other jobs in the interest of the Trust as and when instructed by the Chairman.

Academic Qualifications:

• Master’s degree with at least second class from any reputed public or private university.

Experience Requirements

At least 5 (five) years, work experience as a Secretary or a similar position of a Trust/Foundation or a Corporate Organization. Preference will be given to an applicant having working experience in the Council Wing of a Board/Trust or as a Secretary to any Chairman of a Board/Trust.

• Excellent communication skills in English and Bangla.
• Must have computer operation skill.
