Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited, a shariah based Private Commercial Bank is looking for smart, confident, self-motivated and energetic skilled personnel for the following position to work under Work Order Monitoring Unit of Investment Risk Management Division (IRMD) at Corporate Head Office of the Bank.

Job Title: Civil Engineer

Type of Employment: Permanent.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate should have clear understanding on basic Civil Engineering functions e.g. Construction of Building, Roads & Highway, Bridge, Culvert, Drain & Embankment and River Excavation. Responsibilities for the position shall include but not limited to:

To visit the project financed by the Bank and submit report thereof;
To contact the work giving authority to understand the progress of running bill position;
To perform inspection and monitoring of construction materials and equipment on an active construction site;
To identify technical issues hampering/slowdown the projects and come out with possible solutions;
To ensure utilization of Bank’s investment with progress of work;
To maintain continuous liaison with the branch and IRMD, Corporate Head Office and keep them updated about the bill position/status of project;
Any other responsibility as assigned by the Management of the Bank.

Job Requirements:

Well conversant with different Engineering Standard
Must have good knowledge & understanding in Architectural, Structural & MEP Design, Drawing and BOQ
Ability to prepare technical reports with the assistance of Project Progress Report, IPC, MB etc.
Must have experience in either building construction or road constructions works
Willingness and ability to travel across the country
Excellent analytical and personal communication skills.

Educational Requirements:

Diploma in Civil Engineering from any reputed institution, having at least 2nd division or equivalent.

Experience Requirements:

Must have at least 5 years’ experience as Site Engineer in a reputed Construction Company
Expected age should be within 30 years;

Compensation & Others:

Salary and job grade will be determined based on candidate experience, qualification and professional competence.
