Currently looking for dynamic, hardworking, intelligent candidates for the following position

Position: Project Manager

Job Description/Responsibility

Engineering:

  • Work with internal detailing staff and outside consulting engineers to develop and communicate schemes for precast components

Estimating:

  • This position is one of three positions with responsibility for preparing accurate and timely take-offs and bids based on an analysis of the company’s cost history, current market conditions and the complexity of each job. The individual in this position will initially review all estimates with Operations. Follow up on projects bid.

Project Management:

The position has responsibility for all coordination, negotiation, submittals, billing and payment on specifically assigned jobs. These will include:

  • Review and negotiation of contracts.
  • Set payment expectations, administer contracts, insurance, offsite-, prevailing wages etc. in a manner that avoids obstacles to prompt payment.
  • Review contract documents and bid acceptance to help alert drafting of special considerations i.e. galvanized reinforcing or miscellaneous iron, waterproofing, mockups etc.
  • Coordinate all communications between customers and with respect to submittals, job meetings, site visits, schedules, deliveries and resolution of any problems through to final payment receipt.
  • Prepare monthly progress billings.
  • Request appropriate assistance on payment collection when required.
  • Conduct and submit report monthly to Management on review of each job using job cost analysis to determine ultimate profitability.

Required Academic Qualifications

  • A degree in Engineering or related technical education

Required Experience

  • 10+ years’ demonstrably successful previous experience at estimating, take offs, bid preparation and project management in the construction industry or similar

Required Competencies

  • Fluent in English
  • Project Management
