Educational Qualifications Post Qualification Work Experience & Other stipulations
Essential:
  • B. Com/BBA  & M. Com/MBA major in Banking/ Finance/ Accounting from any reputed  University with first division

Or/And

 Minimum 6 years of post- qualification experience in any commercial banks in Bangladesh. Area of experience (minimum two areas and 2 years’ experience in each area): Foreign Exchange/ Credit/ treasury/ Audit /Risk/ Compliance/IT Audit
  • CISA/ CA/ ICMA/ CIA qualification (partly) will have an added advantage/ preferable
  • JAIBB/ AIBB qualification requirements as per Bangladesh Bank to be met.
 Minimum 2 years of post- qualification experience of bank audit/ taxation audit
Mandatory: Proficiency in MS Word/ Excel/& Power Point. Expertise in prepare documents in MS Word, as all audit reports are to be prepared in MS Word.

Desirable: Working experience as an Internal Auditor in banks in Bangladesh.

Job Description:

  • Should be responsible for total administration of Audit Division of the bank.
  • Execute Internal Audits on regular basis as per plan, policy & strategy approved by the Audit Committee and prepare timely Audit Reports for the Management, the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors of the Bank.
  • Maintains knowledge of the laws and regulatory guidelines by which the bank is required to comply.
  • Ensure adequate and effective internal control system and assist the Management in formulating pertinent policies and operational procedure of the company.
  • Should have knowledge regarding different types of Circular of Bangladesh Bank and other regulatory bodies and compliance of the circulars/ instructions accordingly.
  • Capable of planning, organizing and carrying out the internal audit function including preparation of an audit plan, scheduling and assigning work to the audit team.
  • Follow-up on the resolutions of audit findings.
  • Issues relating to the Risk, Legal & Compliance and other control related activities to be addressed.
  • Recommend security measures to prevent fraudulence and risk-reduction solution.
  • Evaluating Change request in Banking Applications as per local regulatory Guidelines.
  • Responsible to provide assurance regarding the achievement of objectives of the bank in the effectiveness and efficiency of operation, the reliability of Financials & IS (Information Systems, security reporting, compliance with applicable laws, & regulations, and Internal policies.

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Well versed with the regulatory provisions and banking operations including loans & advances, trade finance, general banking, fund management etc.
  • Good presentation skills and is proficient in writing/compiling quality reports in English.
  • Must have leadership capability to manage and motivate staff.
  • Has a proven record in managing risk based operational reviews.
  • Has a strong grasp of the use of technology in the operations of a commercial bank and associated risks and benefits.
